Fall (or autumn) is now upon us and this is a great time of year to have someone inspect your rental property to prepare for the upcoming rainy season.
- Have your forced-air system inspected by a professional before the heating season begins.
- Check the fireplace for damages and hazards and clean the fireplace flue.
- Seal cracks and gaps in windows with caulk or weather stripping.
- Inspect the roof for missing, loose, or damaged shingles and leaks.
- Remove leaves and debris from gutters and downspouts.
- Clean out the lint from the dryer vent.
- Touch up exterior siding and trim with paint.
- Power-wash windows and siding.
